The Tower

Event overview

This is a fast-paced, constantly moving, highly active event where teams of delegates are asked to build a tower out of different coloured building bricks. The building regulations, value and availability of materials are constantly changing throughout the event, as told by realistic TV news bulletins, newsletters and the latest government legislation.

Teams must learn to deal with the various changes in order to purchase materials or sell back unwanted items for the greatest value whilst attempting to build the highest possible tower in the given time. In addition to this a number of short, 10 minute challenges are also available, creating an opportunity for teams to earn more investment money or particular types of building blocks.

Team objectives

The emphasis of this team event is on communication, planning and effectively dealing with change. It is competitive and fun and involves all team members as they delegate out different roles within each team. The whole idea of building the highest and most valuable tower possible as a team under continually changing circumstances is also a valuable and pertinent business message.
